Honey Caramel Pears with Gorgonzola

The natural sweetness of fresh pears is sent through the roof after a sauté in butter and caramelized honey, then a complement of rich, pungent crumbles of Gorgonzola Cheese that are wonderfully creamy in mouthfeel.


  • Butter, ¼ cup
  • Honey, 1 cup
  • Salt , 1 tsp
  • Pear, Cored and ¼ inch Sliced, 4
  • Crumbled Gorgonzola Cheese, 1 cup


  1. In a sauté pan over medium low heat, melt butter with honey and salt.
  2. Cook pears inhoney while stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes until honey begins to lightly brown and caramelize.
  3. To serve, divide pears between 8 plates, pour caramel over the top, and sprinkle with Crumbled Gorgonzola Cheese.

Yield: 8 Portions
