Habanero Jack Breakfast Bison Burger

Wake up your taste buds with a tingly, hot sauce-basted bison burger on a bed of crispy hash browns atop a crusty roll, melted over with a smooth-melting and spicy Habanero Jack Cheese and crowned with a bright sunny-side-up egg.


  • Great Midwest® Habanero Jack cheese, slices, 8 each
  • Bison hamburger patties, 8 oz. each, 4 each
  • Hot sauce, ¼ cup
  • Butter, unsalted, ¼ cup
  • Crusty roll, sliced in half , 4 each
  • Hash brown potatoes, cooked, 1 cup
  • Eggs, cooked sunny-side up, 4 each


  1. Grill or griddle 4 bison hamburger patties to desired temperature; 2 minutes before the desired temperature is reached, place 2 slices Habanero Jack cheese over top to melt.
  2. While grilling, combine hot sauce and butter; brush mixture over top of each side of the burgers while cooking.
  3. Lay the crusty rolls out and brush with same hot sauce and butter mixture; toast and lay on plates.
  4. For each burger, place warm hash browns on bottom bun; place bison burger over top; lay sunny-side-up egg over cheese; lay top bun on the side and serve.
