Wisconsin Master Cheesemaker® ProgramSaputo is honored to carry the distinguished Wisconsin Master’s Mark® on a collection of products. Established in 1994, the Master Cheesemaker® Program is the only certification program of its kind outside of Europe. The program provides advanced education for experienced cheesemakers—open only to highly skilled, veteran Wisconsin cheesemakers with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in quality-assured plants.
The European Master Cheesemaker traditions are upheld through three years of formal coursework and stringent testing, adding a superior level to the cheesemaking. Saputo is proud to employ several members of the elite few that have attained this Master Cheesemaker certification.
Administered by the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Center for Dairy Research, the distinguished Master’s Mark® denotes years of experience, unmatched technical expertise and artistry. It also provides unparalleled assurances of quality, innovation and expertise for our customers.
